Site Grading, Drainage, & Capping Design

BASCOR staff have worked since 1987 on various projects throughout the country, and internationally on projects ranging from subdivisions, nuclear and fossil power plants, petroleum refineries, industrial facilities, municipalities, and landfills, providing civil design and construction oversight services for grading and drainage, environmental cap installation, solar and wind powered water pumping and recovery systems, and light structural design. Our staff experience from 1975 gives us detailed insight to civil projects and the support required.

Site Layout and Design

BASCOR staff have performed site layout engineering in New Mexico, Indiana, Illinois, Utah, and Kansas. Experience includes storm water modeling, grading and drainage design, road layout & design, sewer layout & design, utility layout & design, and soils investigation. Our experience with layout, design, and infrastructure covers residential, industrial, and nature parks.

City of Chicago 911 Facility Civil Site Management, Metropolitan Chicago Area

BASCOR provided support to Fluor Daniels design team for Chicago's new 911 facility during the site preparation and steel erection activity. Our duties included site preparation design and QA/QC oversight, casion installation oversight, contract management and administration during civil/site activity. The facility is one of the nations premier 911 centers and the civil site prep and foundation construction were accomplished in a timely manner with the assistance of BASCOR staff. 

BP NPDES Outfall Design and Installation, Whiting Indiana

BASCOR was retained by Amoco Oil (BP) to design and install an outfall structure at its Whiting Refinery. Our staff completed storm design and modeling for the 400 acre site as well as prepared bidding and construction documents. BASCOR completed the project with quality control oversight and construction administration of the outfall installation under the NPDES program.

Commercial Office Design and Modification, Chicago, IL

BASCOR staff was retained by an commercial client to perform the design and construction QA/QC activities for a 5,000 square foot second story addition to an operating office building. The work was accomplished while an engineering firm conducted normal business in the downstairs office, making coordination of the work critical. Dust and noise control were carefully scheduled and mitigated during the construction activity.
